A Longer Perspective

Hi folks. Looks like this Longer Perspective article is going to get a bit longer. I did not make the opportunity to write this week. A trade show, PTA meeting, and my son's 9th birthday took away much of my free time.

However, I do have a question for you. To make this more interesting, I am going to mail the first six (6) people who get the answer correct a Jazz music CD. The music is from a good and old friend of mine Vinny Valentino. Yes, that is his real name. Win a free CD and I will even pick up the postage to all winners -no matter what country. So all readers of this article are free to participate. My friend Vinny was hip to this internet phenomenon and grabbed the URL http://www.vinny.com very early in the game. How many Vinny's are their in this world? But there is only one vinny.com. You can sample my friend's music on line and you can even purchase the entire album (mp3 format) for five bucks -if so inclined. It's real Jazz and not the watered down stuff that often fills the airways. Oh, by the way if you ever want to irk a Jazz musician, just compare their music to Kenny G. It seems universal that all Jazz artists seem to have this natural disdain to the fact that Kenny G's music got lumped into their genre. Just say, "Oh, your music reminds me of my favorite Kenny G song" and then study their face intently. You will either see an expression of total disgust or total bewilderment.

Here is the question:

In the English language there is only one word with four consecutive vowels contained in it? For those who haven't taken English for awhile, a vowel is the letter a, e, i, o, or u -and sometimes y. What English word has four consecutive vowels in it?
